Liquorice – Large
£25.00
Fast-track your heritage herb garden with our Large Liquorice Plants (Glycyrrhiza glabra). Unlike younger seedlings or plugs found elsewhere, this exclusive stock consists of mature, four-year-old plants supplied in 1-litre pots. Because liquorice is a slow-growing perennial, buying an established plant gives you a significant shortcut to maturity and a much stronger start.
Cultivated here at Brandy Carr Nurseries in the heart of the historic Wakefield liquorice belt, these plants have developed robust, deep root systems. They are perfect for planting into deep, sandy garden borders or large patio containers. While these plants are fully frost-hardy and have been overwintered, we recommend planting them out after the risk of hard frost has passed to ensure the best results.
Important Seasonal Note: Depending on the time of year you order, your liquorice may arrive as a dormant root ball (without leaves). This is a natural part of the plant’s lifecycle; simply plant as normal, and vigorous, fern-like foliage will emerge during the spring and summer growing season.
