Was part of a large rhubarb trial at Wisley in 1960, originating from Wageningen in Holland. It has brilliant carmine at the base of the mainly red with light green showing through towards the leaf of the 17” long stalks, the flesh is light green. It has elongated medium green 18” heart shaped leaves.
Ben Says – A Dutch variety and one that is hard to find! Bred in Wageningen. I recommend this variety to all who want to try something different. A great culinary type – I LOVE THIS RHUBARD!
